Filipino Drinks

There is a wide variety of drinks in the Philippines. One type of drink that is highly favoured is “chilled drink” because of the country’s geographical location.

tuba ni lolo

The traditional tuba still remains in provinces, which is also used as vinegar when stored in a jar for days and fermented. In addition, brandy, gin and rhum are the local favourites. Another one is shake that consists of fresh fruit blended with milk, ice and sugar. Chilled drinks and cocktails with tropical fruits are popular during summer. Another type of drink is tea made from—ginger, lemon grass and pandan leaves. All these can be prepared at home.
