Fruit Drinks
The Philippines is home to many tropical fruits such as mango, avocado, watermelon and many more. Fruit shakes blended with milk and crushed ice is another Filipino favourite. Listed below are the different fruit shakes which are easy to prepare.
Mango shake
Ingredients:
• 1 ripe mango
• 6 tablespoons carnation non-fat milk
• ½ cup water
• ice cubes
Procedure:
Combine all ingredients for shake and pass through a blender for about 2 min. Serve with crushed or cubed ice.

Papaya milk shake
Ingredients:
• 1 ripe papaya, peeled, seeded and cut into chunks
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 cup milk
• 12 ice cubes
Procedure:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Add ice cubes; process until frothy. Garnish with mint leaves. Makes 3 cups.

Banana milk shake
Ingredients:
• 1 ripe medium banana
• 400 ml. milk
• 2 tsp. sugar
• 2 drops vanilla
• 1 drop yellow colouring (optional)
Procedure:
Chop bananas, add 1/2 cup milk, blend until smooth. Add all other ingredients, whip with an electric whipper. Whip until the milkshake is frothy. Pour into 2 tall glasses. Serve well chilled.

Strawberry milkshake
Ingredients:
• 1 (16-oz.) container fresh strawberries, hulled
• 1 qt. vanilla ice cream
• ½ cup milk
Procedure:
Process all ingredients in a blender until desired consistency .Makes 4 servings.

Buko Pandan Cooler
Ingredients:
• 1 cup unflavored gelatin
• 5 pieces pandan leaves
• 5 cups buko water
• 1 cup CARNATION Condensada
• 1 cup buko, grated
• pinipig, toasted
Procedure:
Cook unflavored gelatin as directed in the pack. Add the pandan leaves. Cool and cut into cubes. Mix the buko water and CARNATION Condensada well. Add the grated buko and gelatin. Best served with ice cubes and toasted pinipig.
